Record Breaking Catfish

Jody McBride of Bronson caught a record-breaking catfish near Buck Bay at San Augustine Park, on Tuesday, June 1, 2005.

The fish weighed in at 70.22 pounds and was 3ft. 10in. long. It was caught using a camouflage worm and a Bass Pro Shops rod, fitted with a Garcia Reel.

This fish set the new record for catfish caught by rod on Sam Rayburn Lake, breaking the old record of 60 pounds.
